Heart-Opening Sipping Chocolate

It’s a beautiful day here in Western Montana. The silent, gentle snowfall has me feeling all the feels, as I am experiencing a strange combination of grief and gratitude around the current happenings both in my personal life and in the “outside” world. I find myself turning more and more to simplicity and beauty, and what better way to merge those two things than in a cup or a bowl. Taking an empty vessel, tuning in with that emptiness, and then inviting the medicine of the plants to fill my cup and heart with it’s wisdom.

Perhaps you too are tender-hearted this week? Here is a recipe to the Ceremonial Cacao brew I chose for myself today. The Cacao, Rose, and Reishi create a beautiful synergy, working together to open the doorway of the heartspace:

Heart-Opening Sipping Chocolate

1.5 ounces Keith’s Ceremonial Grade Cacao, chopped (if you are new to Cacao, start with 1 ounce portion)

7 ounces warm water

1 teaspoon Anima Mundi Herbals Rose Powder

1 tablespoon MoodBeli “Cloud Powder” (or other powdered coconut)

1 teaspoon OM Brand Reishi Mushroom Powder

Honey to taste (I used 1 tablespoon)

*Optional: Dried Flower Petals (Such as Rose , Cornflower and Blue Lotus) for decoration

Combine first 6 ingredients in a high powdered blender and blend or pulse for 10 - 20 seconds. Pour into your favorite mug or cup, top with dried flowers, and sip slowly.
