Energies of March, 2021

Our planet is preparing to embody a fleeting moment of balance on the Spring Equinox; of equal parts light and dark. This is very well-timed for us, as we are preparing to choose what kind of future we want for ourselves and for future generations. As always, it is best that we make big decisions from a place of balance, and not when we are reactionary and fearful. Whenever we experience intense foundational shifts in the field, the natural tendency is to get knocked OFF balance. We can harness the primary gift off the Equinox and practice finding our center again and again. Getting knocked off really isn’t the problem - it’s getting so derailed that we can’t bring ourselves BACK to balance that is the problem…

Heart-Opening Ceremonial Cacao Recipe

It’s a beautiful day here in Western Montana. The silent, gentle snowfall has me feeling all the feels, as I am experiencing a strange combination of grief and gratitude around the current happenings both in my personal life and in the “outside” world. I find myself turning more and more to simplicity and beauty, and what better way to merge those two things than in a cup or a bowl. Taking an empty vessel, tuning in with that emptiness, and then inviting the medicine of the plants to fill my cup and heart with it’s wisdom.

Perhaps you too are tender-hearted this week? Here is a recipe to the Ceremonial Cacao brew I chose for myself today. The Cacao, Rose, and Reishi create a beautiful synergy, working together to open the doorway of the heartspace:

The Gifts of Imbolc

“Imbolc Blessings dear friends! This is one of my favorite times of the year, as we find ourselves straddling the seasons of Winter and Spring. Like all cross-quarter holidays, Imbolc is a time of transition. Today, we are invited to honor the darker time the year that we are starting to move away from, and turn toward the light that is preparing to fill our days. We are getting a real sense of the “quickening” that our part of the earth is experiencing, and perhaps some of us are already seeing the landscape expressing the first signs of Spring…”

Disneyland Survival Guide for Empath’s:

Yesterday was a day I had been dreading for weeks: we were taking the girls to Disneyland. A person who is highly sensitive to sounds, sights and energies, can get overly stimulated and therefore anxious pretty quickly. Bracing for the worst, we went into the park and I’m happy to report that not only was it bearable, I had such a good time. Here is my Disneyland-survival-guide for empath’s:

Death as Ally

On February 3rd, an early and very unexpected call shattered my heart to pieces. My Mom passed away. Vulnerability and paper-thin energy have left no choice but to surrender to the cold of the unknown. As I navigate this new life and this gaping tear in the atmosphere around me, I can offer only surface gleans of my process:

Offerings

What are you offering the world? For me, there is a tendency to say "not yet" and "I'll address that tomorrow". My tendency is to procrastinate and minimize my own capacity to contribute in powerful ways to the up-leveling of the collective consciousness. That option of procrastination is dying fast to make room for what wants to grow and be shared.

Waking Up

Watching quietly this week as so many fumble around, bumping into things, searching for meaning in their lives. I can relate to this of course because I too have spent most of my life fumbling and searching. Turning 38 in September was like having a flip switched ON. Suddenly all that I was seeking with my intellect has now come flooding into my reality through the channel of the heart.

Breaking Paradigms

We are capable of so much more than we give ourselves credit for. The way we felt as kids, that anything was possible, lies dormant for so many of us as we chase the carrots of money, prestige and pension plans. None of those things are inherently bad of course. But they are not the goal.
